The dance of the « PAPANGO »: to the BARA, the dancer pretends to be fascinated by a pillar about one meter high. He(it) moves forward, moves(puts) back, turns(shoots) all around. All at once(of a sudden), he(it) jumps in the summit and imitates the bird of prey, interrupting his(its) stops(rulings) of standings about.

The Dance of the rifle
To the SAKALAVA, two couples participate in it: the man juggles with his rifle, the woman holds an assegai and follows by far her evolutions.

To the ANTANDROY their dances are very jerky it amounting of a load(responsibility), of a surge(flight) or we feel(smell) the joy of life(living).

To the MERINA, the dancer MPILALAO is dressed(taken on) in sparkling clothes, parade, make speeches, dance especially with the shoulders which they roll and the hands which wave.

The DANCE OF the PESTLE(DRUMSTICK) is a dance common to the coastal ethnic groups BESTIMISARAKA, ANTANKARA and others. She(it) marks the first harvests of rice of the year.
